Farm Equipment

The hazards of farming are extensive. The sheer mass of agricultural equipment and facilities in use compound the risk.  Collisions with vehicles can occur when agricultural equipment is traveling between agricultural sites. Unfortunately, we’ve seen how machine design flaws and defective or malfunctioning equipment along with human perceptual limitations lead to incidents that result in catastrophic property losses, injuries, and death.

In addition to collisions, our experts have investigated a number of farm-based incidents, including machinery fires and accidents involving combines, cotton pickers, cotton strippers, agricultural tractors, tractor-trailer trucks, feller bunchers and feed grinders.  Our human factors consultant analyzes the human machine interaction while our engineers evaluate areas such as design, operation, and machine maintenance.  In fact, many of our engineers and consultants have personal expertise in heavy equipment use and maintenance.
